The Lisa and Douglas Goldman Fund honors the 2024 Goldman Environmental Prize winners who have done extraordinary work to protect our planet and its ecosystems.  The Goldman Prize is awarded by the Goldman Environmental Foundation, which is a totally separate and independent entity from the Lisa and Douglas Goldman Fund.  The views and opinions expressed by the Goldman Prize winners are solely their own and do not reflect the values, interests, or positions of the Lisa and Douglas Goldman Fund, its Board of Directors, or its Staff.

The Lisa and Douglas Goldman Fund does not support organizations that advocate for, engage in, or endorse policies or actions that are antisemitic or question the legitimacy of Israel as a secure, independent, and democratic Jewish state.

Emergency Relief in Israel and Combatting Antisemitism in the US

The Goldman Fund has awarded $665,000 in emergency grants to organizations providing humanitarian relief, medical response, and victim support in response to the Hamas attack on Israel and to organizations in the US that are working to combat the rise in antisemitism. Read more here.

Emergency Response Initiative for Abortion Care

In response to the US Supreme Court’s ruling to dismantle the constitutional right to abortion, the Goldman Fund has awarded $1,000,000 in emergency grants to seven organizations providing immediate assistance to women who reside in states where abortion is now outlawed or restricted.
